xG-Incubator Highlights 2025
A Year of Progress, Milestones, and a Growing Community
As we near the end of 2025, it’s the perfect moment to reflect on what has been an incredibly dynamic year for us here at the xG-Incubator. From international trade fairs to new partnerships, from growing our startup family to expanding the telecommunications ecosystem in Berlin: 2025 has been defined by forward momentum!
Global Presence at Major Industry Events
This year, the xG-Incubator team and our startups were present at some of the key events in our field.
March
We kicked off the year at Mobile World Congress 2025, where our teams connected with industry leaders, explored emerging network technologies, and showcased what the Berlin telecommunications scene has to offer.
April
Our presence at Hannover Messe underscored the increasing fusion of telecom, industrial IoT, and next-generation manufacturing solutions. The sheer size and breadth of HM is something we still need to learn how to navigate in order to make the most of the opportunity to be in the same arena as some of the biggest and most important companies in the world.
May
SCALE25 (the StartUpConnect Annual Linkup Event, organized by our friends at launchhub42 in Dresden) was a great success, showcasing what startups from communications, robotics, AI, computing, and sensor tech have built over the past 12 months (and, importantly, how incubators helped them get there.)
July
The 6G Conference in Berlin, by contrast, felt like a home game. Positioned right at the heart of the action in the main hall (alongside our partner incubators), our top priority was to give all 12 participating startups real exposure and valuable feedback. There were certainly lessons for us to learn; however, overall, we got exactly what we were hoping for: the event delivered everything from thought-provoking keynotes and workshops to networking that brought together players from academia and industry, in Germany and beyond.
Welcoming New Startups
This year brought an exciting wave of new innovators into our program. We were thrilled to welcome Massive Beams and QuSine into Phase 2, as well as Tilecore and Linque into Phase 1 of our portfolio.
From advanced RF and beamforming solutions for next-generation networks (Massive Beams), to hybrid analog–digital AI accelerators (Tilecore), ultra-efficient photonic computing hardware (Linque), and ultra-low-noise RF signal sources for quantum and telecom applications (QuSine), they all bring cutting-edge technology and fresh vision into the xG-community.
Of course, we’re equally proud of the continued collaboration with our longest-standing teams: MOXZ (who will be leaving our program at the end of the year with some fantastic news!) and airpuls, whose ongoing progress demonstrates the long-term value of sustainable innovation.
A Rising Wave of Applications
Interest in the xG-Incubator reached new heights this year. We saw a significant increase in applications to both Phase 1 and Phase 2, demonstrating the growing visibility of our program and the rising demand for supporting telecommunication innovators - whether they are researchers with an idea or startups with a product.
As always, a huge thank you to our xG-Jury: Your thoughtful evaluations ensure that our program remains rigorous, relevant, and ready to support the next generation of telecommunications innovation.
xG-Afterwork: Connecting the Berlin Telecommunications Community
Our xG-Afterwork series has grown into a signature gathering for Berlin’s telecom innovators. What began as an idea to create a space for telecommunications researchers, entrepreneurs, and industry professionals to meet has evolved into a place where people discover new use cases, find job opportunities, and build meaningful connections with those who can help them move their ideas forward.
Strengthening the Alliance With our Partner Incubators
In 2025, cooperation with our partner incubators launchhub42, SSC Kaiserslautern und 6GEMCubator, intensified. By sharing resources for conference planning, co-hosting events such as lunch pitch sessions, and supporting each other’s efforts more broadly, we amplified the support system available to our founders. This partnership is becoming a critical foundation for achieving the goals and objectives set out in the StartUpConnect initiative!
Looking Ahead: The Prospect for 2026
Our momentum continues! Here’s what we’re excited about in the coming year:
Onboarding our new startups and teams: With a fresh cohort joining us as early as March, we’re gearing up for mentoring, customer-discover and community-building activities.
Expanding the Berlin Telecommunications Community: We’re doubling down on our efforts to connect researchers, founders, industry professionals, and investors in telecommunications and related fields across Berlin. Expect more events, more collaboration opportunities, and new community initiatives.
Deepening our relationships with industry partners: Our priority is to create more pathways for startups to validate, deploy, and scale their technologies with real-world partners. To do this effectively, we need to sharpen the value proposition we offer to potential industry partners… a task we’re eager to tackle with the support of xG-Aloe and our fellow incubator partners.
You’ve reached the end of our reflections, dear reader. Thank you for reading, and for supporting us throughout 2025. We wish you a wonderful start to the new year. Onwards and upwards!
